That is what I have observed  from my family's  Chinese New Year celebrations...It does not represent the general behaviour pattern of each generation in the whole world of course... Just in case anyone may get offended...  Why so serious? 

Here's wishing everyone  good health, peace  and happiness  in this Year of the Goat/ Ram/ Sheep ... For those who wish to be politically correct   Happy New Year! Gong Xi Fa Cai!!

Yup, pocket watches now have become  phone watches that connect to a wrist watch. Confused yet?     

And yes, I would love to own an Apple Watch of course.

Sai Lang= Show hand/ Going all out to defeat someone

This was the scene during the first week of January 2015 on the local Lego  group.  It saw the release of the 2015 Lego sets in the local stores, so many rushed to snap up the desired sets. Some even posted  pics of themselves waiting for the store to open. Somewhat like Black Friday moment. Srsly.  

My reaction is pretty much summed up above... Ever since I joined the group I've seen many postings of their latest acquisitions. Some even had sets that were not released yet because they have connections with the company for some commissioned dioramas. I am glad to see the growth of Lego enthusiasts in Malaysia, but at times it sickens me  when ego seems to be stroked and there seems to be an exclusive "gang" that is hanging out there. I thought it was a place to meet other ppl  with the same interest... but somehow it is lost when everyone is trying to show off who gets the set first, doing a cool MOC (My Own Creation), or doing CS (Community Service) by buying many sets for other collectors... 

You can call me sour grapes, but I'm beginning to be like one online  friend of mine, who collects and not bothered to join any groups.  

And yes, social media has re-defined our egos.

Radio Stations as you age

Yup, I still remember laughing  at the MTV advert (many years ago   ) promoting the oldies... It went like this, "Laugh, cry, vomit....or totally dig the classics!"  "Remember, one day you'll be old too..."  

Can't believe that I'm old already!!  Now everyday my workplace plays music from Lite FM... songs from like the 70s, 80s, 90s....  I can imagine my cousin asking that... and if you don't know who Rick Astley is, thank your lucky stars  that you're not THAT old... yet.
