Potong-lah!

:D

Heh. I really couldn't let P1 Wimax's commercial off without a take on it! ;) My apologies to non- Malaysians who may not understand the joke... :confused:

P1 Wimax is a wireless boardband provider and their :teevee: commercials revolve around the concept of "potong" (Which means 'cut' ) In the commercials, the "potong" also imply circumcision :oops: ... so hence the potong joke. :lol: You can view the ad here: [link]

There is a Cantonese version as well... which sort of carries the same joke :rofl: : [link]

Have you 'cut' it yet??!! ;p

Teaching English on TV

:fellaright:

:lol: Alright, sorry for the late strip this week...I didn't have the mood to draw anything until this morning! ^^; I couldn't think of how to draw the other TV commercial ideas and I owe my mum this one! ;) We were watching :teevee: and Astro (our local tv cable company) aired this teaching English segment... :hmm:

Now, don't get me wrong. I have nothing against the idea, in fact it is a good idea...esp. with the recent decision by the government to revert teaching Science and Maths back to Bahasa Melayu. :|

I'm just wondering if it will work or not, that's all... :? And yes, I'm 100% Malaysian...so I still tend to speak with my 'lahs' !! :D

Misread info

^^;

I've decided to take a break from :teevee: commercials themed strips this week... So here's one from my daily life...

Yes, my mum misread the information on the notice sent by the water company. In fact, she read it wrongly three times! ^^; At first, she said our street wasn't affected... then she realised it was. The second time, she thought it was from 9am-6pm... but it was 9pm- 6am instead.

At 9pm, she wondered why the water was still running so she read it again....and apparently it is scheduled for NEXT week. :ohmygod: :faint:

All that washing and rushing in vain. :fellaleft: :fellaright:

Remember ppl, read the information properly to avoid unnecessary panic. Or worry. Or insanity. :crazy:

:lol:
