Stamp cookware redemption

This marketing strategy never gets old... I still remember the first few stamp redemption bonanza held by a department store... Items ranging from towels to cookware, porcelain/ chinaware to wine glasses...

Recently Giant Hypermarket had their stamp cookware redemption. For every RM20 (USD 5.70 approx) spent you will gain a stamp. With the stamps you could purchase an imported pot/ pan from Italy for a fraction of the price. But don't be too excited yet, because the minimum stamps required range from 90- 200 stamps!!

Yup, if you do the maths you'd realise that you've spent RM1800 (USD 514 approx) at their store already... And you would still have to pay for the pot/ pan!! But that's less than RM10. (USD 2.85)

Nevertheless, we managed to collect the stamps only to find out that all the cookware was redeemed/ snapped up.

And who says that Malaysians aren't a gullible bunch??

Cargo pants

Woah. "Chap Goh Mei" (Fifteenth day of the new year) already came and gone. So marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebration...

Sorry this took so long to be uploaded as you guys already know that my usual had crashed... It's still not fixed yet... Bro finally installed the printer/ scanner software into his laptop...( Actually he wanted to print something so it's all good for me too! )

Not sure if you guys still own/ wear cargo pants... To be honest, I actually don't have one anymore! And I don't have skinny jeans either! Ha!

Borrowing money

Are you one of those who still remember who owes you and how much that person owes you? Well, I'm one of them.

This week's strip idea has been in my head for some time already. It came about when my good online friend ~outlawserenade tweeted about someone who wanted to borrow money from her or something like that...(Sorry! Can't remember ) And that reminded me of my old schoolmates who somehow (conveniently? ) forgotten that they borrowed money and never paid back.

The issue is not about being a scrooge and not lending money to your friends... but rather remembering to return the money later. So, pay up ppl!

Well, not like they'll ever remember or stumble upon this blog entry.

And yes, two ppl still owe me fifty cents.

Well, that didn't actually happen of course. Just a crazy twist which came to mind after watching Ikea's Chinese New Year cum Valentine's Day commercial...(It falls on the same day this year...)
