Live

:earth:

I was watching CNN the other day, and they were just wrapping up the Rio 2016 Olympics.... They mentioned that this Olympics had the most watched/ live events. :wow: The reporter went on to say in our day and age, everything is live with so many social media sites.. The best line he said was," Everyone knows what's going to happen even before it happens!" :XD:

How true... I thought about what he said and this idea popped into my head... :lightbulb: I was watching a live stream on :facebook: the other day, it was quite cool to see the emoticons float across the screen... Those are real-time reactions from viewers all over the world. Amazing... but after awhile I found it a bit boring and irritating too! :D Yeah, I'm old... :granny: ;P

Anyways, hope everyone is doing well.

Olympics Badminton Men's Singles Finals- Rio 2016

:)

The Olympics Badminton Finals last night between Lee Chong Wei (Malaysia) and Chen Long (China) :matrixfight: .... I didn't watch the match (because if I do sure lose! ;p It's a joke with my family and friends that whenever I watch any crucial match the person will surely lose :crying: ) Anyways, I was keeping in touch via Twitter with real- time tweets.... I was laughing non-stop reading those tweets! :lmao:Malaysians truly are a hilarious bunch....  From asking to shave his armpit hair to donations of RM2.6 billion for us to win the gold medal.... But in the end Chen Long did take home the gold. :trophy:Congratulations to him, he played very well....

As for Chong Wei, don't cry! We are so proud of you!!  You did Malaysia proud, you played your very best! Our best medal tally in the Olympics history, we got 4 silver and 1 bronze! And most of all, you beat Lin Dan... :XD: I think that was the best!

Promoters

:X
I don't know about you, but every time I enter the supermarket at Aeon 1 Utama I'd feel like this... Argggh. Seriously they have waaaay too many promoters :ohmygod: ... It is rather intimidating when you're trying to get the stuff you want and then having to fend off these ppl. :matrixfight: Yes, yes... I know they're just doing their job, earning an honest living.... :| Sometimes, they are even busy chatting :blahblah: with each other.... especially across the aisles... :|

I've been seeing the Tesco delivery truck going around quite a bit. Tempted to try it out, but I'm still very much old-fashioned... :D Because I actually enjoy walking around the supermarket/ hypermarket looking at stuff... Oh well  .... Anyways this is in no affiliation with Tesco to promote their online shopping or supermarket bashing for Aeon. Thank you. ;p

Monday tomorrow. Argggh.

Crazy Cat Lady

:'(

I'm saying goodbye to a character of mine in Miss Kacang... :bye: This guy character has been with me ever since I've started doodling Miss Kacang about 10 years ago. :wow: (Yes, it's been that long!) It was loosely based off a friend of mine... He was into skateboarding at first and later grew into a musician type of guy. He's no longer in my life... I actually have no idea where he is right now...   But I still see him on Instagram from time to time. He looks like he's really enjoying his life and living out his dreams.

I think it's time to bid adieu to this character.... Life has moved on for the both of us... :movingon: I'm actually beginning to like the "Crazy Cat Lady" idea!  But most probably I'll end up with the "Crazy Lego Lady" title instead!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Telco under fire

Recently, one local telco came under fire after a customer posted about an offer that was given so that he would not port out (change networks) Apparently, it was offered to certain customers only. What made matters worse was the response from the telco on its :facebook: page, denying the act and stating it was for customers located in the East of Malaysia. Customers were pissed off because the offer (An upgrade of 8gb data for only RM68 - USD 17.43) was offered to customers who were leaving the telco, rather than those who have been loyal customers for many years. Many are paying high price (RM128- USD 32.82) for only 1gb data every month. You can read more of it here

All I can say is that I was really happy to read about the telco's meltdown. I had a horrible encounter with their customer service before, it was about 10 years ago. I was on their prepaid mobile at that time and I wanted to download the caller ringtone :tunes: (Haha! Yes I know! It's silly) I wanted the song Crazy- by Simple Plan. I downloaded using the code and I got another song Crazy- by Seal instead.  And yes, I was THAT silly to download it about 4 times, and I got charged RM16 (USD 4.10) for the same wrong song. I was furious :rage: and decided to report it on their website.

Oh yes, the customer service did contact me and told me that they will look into the matter. But guess what? After about a week, the same lady called me back and told me it was nothing wrong with their service but it was my phone's problem. How do you like that?! :wtf: Seriously. I was so freaking pissed off, but she was lucky I was at my doctor's at that time so I couldn't say any foul language to her. Instead of offering me at least a refund (like real  ) they could at least offer me a free ringtone as a compensation. But no, she asked me to download the song AGAIN. Yeah, and pay another RM4 for someone's mistake which they won't admit???!!! F* you. :finger: I was really appalled at their service. It was obvious the matter was brought up at their meeting, and the relevant department quickly went to rectify their s*...

Just another corporate conglomerate at its best. :shakefist:

Well, I'm still with the telco. Surprised? Yeah, and I became a postpaid customer as well.  My family is using it and my current workplace as well. I was thinking about porting out but never gotten around it to in depth. Maybe it's about time I did.
