Rocketman vs Deranged man

 

Been wanting to draw something on Trump but each time when I have an idea  the next day the news will change!  Fake news!  Anyways, this is the latest between the two... Trump and Kim Jong-Un. I guess we are on the verge of World War III... possibly?   I just hope these two will just grow up already!  They remind me of two kids going to the playground and showing off who is better... who has the better toy and stuff.  

And yes, no one wants to watch these two jokers on TV.

Big Bang Birthday

 

Drew this for an online friend in the Korean drama channel. She absolutely loves Big Bang (Yes, VIP! ) I thought of drawing in a different style at first but then it was rather a last minute attempt so I opted for my usual style.  It wasn't easy, I was afraid I couldn't capture their individual faces with my simple "bean-fied" drawing...  

For those who are wondering who Big Bang is, they are a Korean pop group.

Everyone is a loser

Including me...  This is the conclusion that I've come to after being on Disqus and Discord... I think Daria will agree.  Yeah, ever since hanging out in the Korean drama channel there I realised that many of the users are mainly single females, either young or old...divorced... single mums... students...working adults... Everyone is there for a reason, to escape reality of life... enjoy a rom-com... Some of the discussions were interesting but eventually everyone is talking about themselves.  Telling the world about their lives, their past experiences... especially the older ones  They can actually write essays there! Most of the time they also repeat themselves over and over...  

So you're going to ask me why the hell do I still hang around there?!  I have no idea too...  I did meet a couple of nice people... With the community consisting mainly of females, there were only about a handful of guys there... Less than 10 even!  There was this guy that came in with a bang, he seemed to burst into the scene... Made his presence known by making jokes and trolling the ladies there.  At first it seemed like he was chasing the head moderator but he also started to flirt with the rest. I can't remember how I started to chat with him.... He appeared to me as someone really lonely and hiding behind a mask of jokes and trolls... trying to be cool. Eventually he invited me to join his server and I must say that it was like walking in the mind of Joker... There were bits and pieces of his mind and thoughts all over... 

To cut the story short, he created drama with some of the ladies in the Korean channel and he left. I had a chat with some of the ladies there and they really summed it up perfectly this particular guy... He came in to get noticed, chat up with the ladies to see which are flirt worthy and those who he can use to his advantage.  He is someone who is childish, immature and egoistic. One even said he is a total jerk.  I thought this was just a separate case but while in his server, his friends there were exactly just like him!  Yes, they were flirting with the female users and making nonsense talk. The worst is that he takes screenshots of people's comments or direct messages and post it for everyone to see while bashing them. 

I'm very disappointed with this person. I actually thought there might be something under all that superficial Joker mask that he's wearing... but in the end he never redeemed himself. Sad really. Yes, I am bitching about some random person from the internet.  Well, at least I don't take screenshots of personal messages and post it for everyone to read. 

End of rant....We're back to the conclusion... Everyone is a loser.

One point for mum.  Yeah, the feeling of getting older each day when you face problems with technology.  I've joined Discord recently and most of the users there are a lot younger than I am... and it has been quite "interesting" (challenging should be more precise  ) trying to navigate my way around there.  Slowly but surely!

Happiness

 

I saw a  post yesterday about two cartoon animals. The caption asks, "How are you both so happy?" One of the animals decided to reveal the secret of their happiness, " We're very, very stupid..."  

I think sometime in everyone's life they will think about the key to happiness. Some say happiness is a state of mind while some say that it doesn't exist.  constantly asks me this question on my profile page, "What makes you happy?" It's just a click-bait for me to update my introduction section.  Not falling for that obviously!  

That brought me back to a scene I saw one morning on the way to work. We were driving by the underpass and I saw two elderly Indian men sitting by the curb chatting with each other. Both of them were smiling and laughing.  These two men are foreigners who are here to earn a living by collecting recycled materials. They usually pile up their old battered bicycles with card board pieces which they found and also other items such as aluminium cans and plastic bottles. They will bring these items to the recycling centre in exchange for cash.  

What struck me was that in the busyness of the intersection, where everyone was rushing to work or somewhere... they were just chilling and enjoying the moment. They were fellow countrymen having a chat. I couldn't capture the scene with my mobile cam but the scene stuck in mind. Their happy faces still edged in my memory... I think for a brief moment there, they truly found happiness in each other's company.  

So what do you think happiness is? Is happiness and state of mind? Being content with what you have? Living in the moment? Appreciating your loved ones? Smiling? Laughing?
